MPC Orders for this week?

Mine are shipping July 12th as well! This is my first time having chicks (and chickens!) and I am so excited - the wait is driving me crazy! I ordered 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Golden Laced Wyandotts, 2 Barred Rocks, and 1 Light Brahma. I called yesterday to add one more light brahma, but they wanted ten bucks to change the order. No thanks - they already got enough with shipping! So excited!!!!

I ordered 10 and only 8 came. I emailed them. Waiting for a reply...

My 8 are due to ship on the 12th too. I got the Blu-Kote, ACV, and DE today (to have on hand, not available locally) and chick starter feed. Brooder ready to go, but I have to hang the light yet (hook in ceiling). Can't wait!!!

Hard to tell. I am brand new to chicks, and some breeds look very similar. Might be Buff Orp or Red Star and an Easter Egger I think

I got mine this morning about 10:30 in NC. I received all nine but one of the bantams can't stand. I don't know what to do with her - she is in a separate box and I am giving her water through a dropper and 3 drops of Poly-vi-sol hoping she gets some strength. She tried to stretch her leg back this afternoon but it would not straighten out. I feel like crying...

Aww honey. Maybe she will perk up? Give her a bit and keep and eye on her. You are certainly trying your best. Could her leg have been damaged somehow in transit? Give her lots of love, and I am sending you hugs.

First couple of days they do seem to sleep alot and just stretch out. Make sure they get plenty of water. Also the feathers on the wings is normal - one of the ways to separate male from female is by the row lengths on the wings.
enjoy your babies. Take lots of pictures they grow a lot this first week.

Then my DH came home and insisted we wake them up to see if they were all ok! Thanks for your words of assurance. Maybe I can sleep through the night now.....who am I kidding?
