harrelldjr chicks picture number 6 and 8 look like two of mine I got from MPC on the 10th that have developed crests. I suspect they are Splash or Silver Laced Polish. Have you decided which hatchery yours came from? Meyers doesn't have Splash Polish listed on their site. Just curious as I still have a some I'm stumped on. Like your #5 which I have 6 of. If they are Brown Leghorns, then I know I have 11 white egg layers. I hope for some brown and green ones. I have one reddish brown chick I'm praying is a Welsummer. I also have one chick which looks like the color of the splash Polish but does not have a crest and has orange legs. Was considering some type of Wyandotte, just don't know what it would be.

My 25 Rainbows are shipping out TODAY!!

The reason I put off shipment until today 9/21 (by the way, MPC charged me the day I ordered 9/4/09 and not the day they ship, which would be the case if you ordered directly from the hatchery) is because that's when all of the chicks I was hoping for were listed as being available - such as the EE's, Speckled Sussex, Silver or Golden Lace Wyandottes, Light Brown Leghorns, and White Plymouth Rocks.

Last night I went back to their website and they now list the EE's availability as: TBD - I take that to mean To Be Determined.

They must have had lots of folks order the 25 EE Special and now out or very low on them.

Darn - that's REALLY the only ones I REALLY wanted for the egg color but didn't want 25 of them.

Good luck with those that also have chicks being shipped today. I'm anticipating mine getting to the Pacific NW on Wed.

That's what I did, ordered the rainbows thinking BR and EE are both on special, I should get plenty of those!
Not a one

I got 3 that looked like BR at first glance, but they all 3 have rosecombs. So they are all dominiques. No EE's in the whole group.
There are white leghorn, brown leghorn, white rocks (I think), austrolorps, the 3 dominiques, 1 buff orpington, some SLW, some that look like GLW. I think that's it. Luckily I got some BR and EE eggs from the swap, so maybe I'll get some yet
