Ms Lewis Rich : They hatched, updated pics

they are very cute I can't w8 to hear more about em. mine are so sweet and just want to be held. you just got to love them little chicks

I love chick tv. And I enjoy watching my calico cat reach out to gently touch them. She just loves baby chickies. I accidently left the lid off the brooder one time and she had 30 minutes when she could've messed up the chicks. Instead, she sat next to the box and gave me a stern look when I walked in the room

I'll play with them all this evening. DD2 says everyone seems fine, even Helga and Silence. Only Silence will be renamed by DD2 shortly.... Her current silkie is a loudly crowing boy that's being entered in the fair and hopefully sold there, too. So Silence has a new home... OURS!

Those EE have the sweetest faces. You should keep at least one of them.

George looked like that when he was a baby.

You'll have to keep us posted about the mystery chicks.

Congratulations on the new babies!!!!!

Updated (fluffy) pictures:

Silence peeped and has been renamed Mystery. She and Helga cuddled in my lap:

Helga wouldn't pose unless she could cuddle on DH's shirt:

Mystery and her white-tipped wing span:

She has yellow & black fuzzy feet, a white spot under her chin and a white belly she refused to show for the camera.

The five EE's:

Smitty, I really can't keep an EE. But I think we'll keep Mystery and probably Helga unless Helga is a roo. But the EE's are replacing my friend Cindy's lost EE's.

Awwwwww!!!! They are just adorable!!!!

Does Mystery have puffy cheeks or are they just fluffy? They sure are cute whatever they are.

She's just fluffy. She does have a weird-shaped head compared to the others. More so than I've noticed on our other silkie chicks we've had before.

I am REALLY looking forward to a good night's sleep!!!!!!!!

Hmmmmm!!! You wanted more silkies to, right?

I hear that cochins makes great pets & are broody. Maybe you could use her as an incubator when she gets older.

I bet you are tired. Sounds like a late night hatch. I wonder why they always hatch in the middle of the night.

Thanks, SpeckledHen!

Smitty, Cassie wanted another silkie. We keep trying to get her a hen. Mystery has a definite penguin thing about her, and with the dual colors I'm wondering if she's a mix. She does peep now, but very quietly.

Helga is probably a buff brahma and not a cochin. Also, Helga is very loud and stands very upright. Makes me wonder if Helga is really a Helmut!

Everyone is doing well this morning. Still sleeping lots.
