I received my first order of mail-order chicks today. I was a bit irritated with the ordeal. It could be me, as I have never done this before. I received an email two weeks ago that said my hatch/ship date would be April 22, which was a Sunday, so I naturally thought they would ship today, Monday. Nope. I get a call this am, on my way to work, to come pick up chicks at 7:45 from the post office. Say again? I'm on my way to work. So, I of course drop everything and take them to work with me. Luckily my boss is chick friendly 
. I would have hoped for a email or call announcing the shipment, but I received none. A heads up would have been nice. Ok, that said, all of my chicks arrived happy and healthy, and well packaged, and that is the bottom line.
