Also anyone know if they'll mark chicks? I think it would be helpful on my two baby cockerels and the similar looking breeds. I might call tomorrow.

Any concerns still about the salmonella thing years ago? I know it's been like 10 years, but I saw something about it today.

After 2 years, I would think the problem would be well under control

I think they do. I got some Australorps and a BJG from them once and they marked the BJG for me. In fact they marked them all. IIRC , the BA were marked blue on their bellies, the BJG was marked green. Or vice versa. It's been a while.

I called and they said they always mark the roosters with a blue sharpie dot on their bellies. She said for $10 they can band all of them, so she's banding my neighbors whole batch so I don't get them mixed up. I also asked her to mark my Biel somehow so I don't mix her up. She said she could do a sharpie dot on her as well. My neighbor also asked me to add 10 more chicks for her if I still could and if any were available. She's getting a 10x12 coop and wants lots of eggs, lol. So they were super helpful with that too. I think it was a different person than who I talked to before.

Awww congrats! Thanks for the pictures! So cute. If you take individual pics of each chick in good lighting we might be able to help you figure out what the extra is. Mine are coming March 17th! I can't wait.
