i used to live in Nondalton, which is very close to redbout. i want to be there when it blows! they've given the villagers respirators and such and have been hading out rations and the like. sounds like it's gonna be big!
anyhow, code color is red.

Be safe for sure. I don't know any of you personally but my heart goes out to anyone who is in danger. We have hurricaines on the coast of NC. but we at least know when they are coming and how to prepare. Jean

I have no idea, so, maybe someone here will know the answer. Will Redoubt just be spewing ash and dust, or will it also spew lava and fire?

Mostly just spews ash... we don't get much in the way of lava flows like the ones in Hawaii.

It's tracking north and west of us for the time being... about 3pm today, though, the prevailing winds may change and then we'll be on the watch for ashfall...
