I spoke too soon... within the last hour we started getting ashfall...

A very fine grit that is accumulating in crevices here and there. All the chickens are heading in for the night, so we're not too worried about them at the moment. As long as the wind stays calm...

How much ash is falling?

Not very much, not enough to actually see but looking at clean flat surfaces it's noticiable.
