One of my silkies accidentally spent the night outside earlier this week, unfortunately it was a very stormy evening and she has ended up with large mud balls on her head hanging down over her eyes. I have experienced mud balls before on my Silkies feet, which are easy enough to get rid off, but never on their heads.

This particular silkie is quite aggressive and doesn't like to be near people at all, never mind being held. Does anyone have any advice on how I can get rid of these mud balls on her head? Or how I could approach her / calm her down enough for her to allow me near her head? I want to get rid of them asap as they are hanging down over her eyes which is making it difficult for her to see and she is clearly in a lot of distress.

It sounds like you make have to bring her inside where it is warm and bathe her in warm soapy water. Be very sure to towel her dry and blow dry her until she is able to go back outside. Maybe keep her inside all day. Pictures may help, but I have never seen this happen.
