My ducks pen is a big mud puddle that doesn't dry up and stinks real bad..
Is there something I Can put on the ground to not make it as wet And muddy?

I would fill it with dirt and let it dry for a while. You might have to move the ducks out of the pen while you do some "renovation" to the run. Always fill little holes when you can cuz they will get bigger!

What size are you talking? What's the consistency of the mud? (gravy, pudding, etc) how deep does the mud go before you get to firm ground? Is it on a slope? (Uphill or downhill side?) can you post pics and dimensions of the area? Drainage is usually the critical factor in remediation of muddy areas. If it doesn't drain the excess water away then adding anything else will just make more mud. The smell is a secondary effect of the standing water, if you solve the first problem the second should be corrected also.

I have small rocks and sand over top. Cuts down on stink and flies...
Yeah I was thinking about adding sand.. And small rocks too.. Its not that big of a spot, so it would be easy to fill.
Can mulch be used? We have it in the flower beds, and they sleep in it.

It was thick mud and it was green, what can I do to get rid of that?? I scooped some of it out and removed it.

Maybe but the poop and water is an issue. I use sand because it dries fast and easy to turn..
