okay so I live in Texas my backyard flooded so that means the chicken coop is almost any ideas what I need to do I tried putting sand down but they covered in mud after I put it down one of my chickens is a silky she is clumped up do I need to give her a bath what do I need to do with her any ideas please
 
Up here in the Dakotas. we are flooding and getting more rain than we have ever heard of! However, not quite to the point of you down in Texas.

I cleaned things up yesterday, and it smells. I ranch in sandhills, I can't imagine what it must be like without sand.

My advice, is put down straw or old hay as deep as you can get it. Then when I get a couple of dry days, I take a pitchfork and make stacks ot the straw, so the ground can dry out. The birds, respread it for me, and come fall, it will be about perfect mulch for the garden.

Yes I would bath the silkie after you do the straw.
