With Christmas, I missed 3 week photos but today was a big day for the inside birds! We separated 2 of the finches to go to grandma’s house and the 6 buttons were moved to the cage with the others....all seemed to be okay when we left. 1 of the newbies (the runt) was crying and one of my big girls nestled it under her wing. I wanted to complete everything earlier but it’s been a crazy week! We will be home Saturday evening.....hopefully everyone will be okay til then

the 6 are 5 weeks old and my 4 girls are 5.5 months! The funny looking “honorary button” is about 4 weeks old now
Today we had cage cleaning and “foot spa” day!! I learned that I have to do foot spa days much more often!!

yes, the newest baby finch has decided to be a button! she was a lone hatch......I am hoping to pair with the 3rd from last hatch, but in the meantime, my button has “adopted” it.

actually I still have 2 crunchy jr in there......they are much smaller than their hatchmates. at 5 weeks, it’s looking like I will have 2 boys.
