yes i’ve used it that way in my coturnix brooder......this is my “tiny” brooder cage for “tiny” fakers.....I just made too many changes all at the same.....the ceramic lamp will be great in a week or so.....i just can’t seem to get it close enough to raise temp above 80 by itself.....laying heat pad over top is stabilizing it but still around 80. I took another tip from you and just put in a rice sock which is keeping them happy....i just need to make sure the dummies don’t crawl under and suffocate themselves. they are all out running around now so it must be working!!Do you remember when I used a heating pad for my chicks once?
The little yellow one's wings.
Is it a yellow one?#5 is out.....was over half zipped for a couple hours so i finally helped a bit
she perks up by morning and invites some more friends to the party
no it looks to be another wild type....will be able to tell better once it dries a bitIs it a yellow one?
#6 hatched overnight (and it’s yeller) so i moved 5&6 to the brooder before leaving this morning. DH moved things around and it was heating more efficiently this morning as well! DS is supposed to check for more hatches while at home for lunch as #7 looked like a possibility.....will get updated pics this evening!!How many now?
