Can you help me figure out genders on these? I don't know if they're old enough, just about three weeks old now.

Edit: I think 1 & 3 are boys?

You can always set him up with a hen alone that looks like she is going broody and see what they do. For the most part they make horrible parents, but occasionally you will get a successful pair. My mother had a hen in the 80s that would sit on her eggs and raise the chicks, but that is the only hen I've had personal experience with that was a good mother. I do know a gal in England that has phenomenal success.

I have had one hen who was a good mother. She had no male as he had recently died. I think she just wanted company and the chicks did that for her. She was also parent raised.

I've had one hen who's rejected all but one chick. She even attacked and plucked one. She and her mate are my worst pair when it comes to parenting.

So cute! I would give them a couple weeks yet. I've had birds I just knew were hens turn out to be males. The guy in my profile picture was one of them. Any with blue feathers are definitely males, red vent feathers most likely are males. That tuxedo you may have to sex according to behavior.

yes crunchy was brown like that and started getting his blue feathers at 10-12 weeks, while my other males started showing their gender with red vent feathers around 8 weeks.....i have never had a tux though so no clue there.....

Crunchy is red breasted, and they like to keep you guessing as long as they possibly can. They wait until you are definitely sure you have the hen you desperately need and then...poof..in come the blue and red feathers :lau
