I love everything you said because it's completely true. There are always an extra 15 things you can do on top of the normal list of chores that need done. It literally never ends until each day you say, that's enough for today.

My uncles on the family dairy farm haven't had a day off in over 60 years. My grandpa before them didn't take a day off his whole life. And now my cousins(uncle's children) should be a little luckier. There are three of them so they rotate weekends. I'm just really glad they wanted to keep the farm going, it's been over 100 years and still going strong

Yes that has already spawned some disagreements feeling really overwhelmed atm and mr muddy tells me to order 2 tons of sand to be delivered asap……I look at the invoice and the sand is 35/ton…..delivery is 99/load Ughhhh…..not doing it! I’ll figure out something to pick it up

I bought a dump trailer. It makes it really convenient for hauling a lot of things and makes it really easy to unload things like sand or gravel. It's much cheaper than having a truck. License plates are cheaper. No engine to keep in working order. In most states the trailer is covered by the insurance on the truck pulling it.

It is a large up front cost but if cared for properly will be a one time only purchase. If you buy feed (hay) in bulk, that is just one more use for it. They have been around long enough now that there are used ones available. I believe that you can also rent them for short term use.

At True Value they have dump trailers you can rent. Not sure you have those in Indiana or how much they cost unfortunately.

That's my husband's next purchase after we buy land. So many uses

At True Value they have dump trailers you can rent. Not sure you have those in Indiana or how much they cost unfortunately.
