Retirement for me prohibits any vacations.

Exactly. No vacations, no long weekends, no tgif, no hump day. I started young so I'd get good at it, but it ain't easy.

I have had only one REAL VACATION, in my life. I was 14 and my sister allowed me to ride with them to Sanibel Island. Didn't know my mother had purposedly ordered them to take me. She didn't want me/them to know she was having breast cancer surgery.

What a neat trick. They dropped me off at my home and walked into wall to wall flowers the friends and relatives had sent her. It looked like a funeral.
