Muddy coop

Long term = always better, but sometimes you just need a fix for the mean time. My run isn't usually muddy even after a good rain, but it's been raining heavily for 4 days/nights straight. What I have down there right now is working well. But we'll see as this wet weather continues into next week.

A new La Nina is building. That means unusually dry weather for you and more rain for us.. I wear Crocs and hate it when mud squishes in through the holes.
Then I wouldn't wear Crocs, then? And regardless of the La Nina, runs may get muddy. But ok.

I have Sloggers with cute little chickens on them. Mine are also about 18 months old and look great, too - haha!

Thank you, but those are way too hot and too heavy to wear all day.

I actually do wear mine even in the summer, but they are heavy. I find the protection worth it and if the heat is so bad I can't bear them I figure I shouldn't be out it in very long anyway.

But I'm used to wearing heavy, rubber, non-slip shoe covers at work while standing for 8 hours so that makes a difference. :D

I find rainboot style boots more wearable for summer since they don't have the same weight or amount of weather protection in them. My heavy, insulated muck boots are really mainly for winter.

Mine aren't insulated.
You aren't that cold in the winters there, right?

Our winters aren't that cold (maybe 15-18F at lowest) however I have circulation issues in my extremities so I have to overcompensate any time it drops below 60 or so.
