I wasn't expecting a joke and was appalled by the thought of weird, attack quail. I was waiting to find out if they were possessed or something.

Oh ... should I be laughing? In this context I assumed Peach is also a quail? But if a goose this could be beyond painful! As in, call an ambulance, goose attack!

You have just triggered a memory from 1986 for me. I was a very young child and the family went to a petting farm. My father was chased all over the farm by a massive goose. It was honking and my father was screaming and swearing. I was panicked for my father but my mother almost died laughing. Thanks for the reminder .

This reminds me of a story I heard. I will forever refer to geese as "cobra chickens" due to this.

A foreigner was visiting a farm and there was a goose near the gate that hissed at him and threatened him as he came near. He either didn't know or couldn't remember the word for a goose, so he said to the owner, "I do not like the cobra chicken!"

That seems like a very good description to me!
