multiple coops

I am getting ready to build my coop for my 8 chicks. I am sure I'll have more next year. If I end up building a second coop, will they divide themselves up amongst the coops?

I have 2 coops side by side. As I have added chickens and then let them out to free range together they coop up with friends at night.
Chickens don't always make the best decisions and I find too many crowded into one coop while the other is practically empty. The two roos that dislike each other always seem to be in the almost empty coop and I have to shoo some hens in there while shooing the other roo out. The one night I was too tired to do it I found an upset and almost bald roo the next morning.

But this is a price I pay for free ranging about 120 birds. I would redo my coops but they are handy this way (I have a grow out pen attached to the end coop) and are old horse stalls.
This is just my experience.

Gosh we started out with the Main coop...and then we added 2 bantam roos, that nobody wanted in there coop so we rigged a quick emergency coop for them...then we found out we had too many roos!!! so we had to seperate them in large dog kennels until we could built them a coop just for the roos...and we did it today, was small just until we slaughter a few...and we cant put them in together!!!!! they want to kill each other, and they didnt before!!!

All that work and we cant house but 2 in it....
MAIN COOP, BUILDING IT:

MAIN COOP DONE, FEW DAYS LATER WE ADDED SAND TO THE RUN

NEW MINI COOP FOR ROOS, ITS BEHIND THE MAIN COOP

This Mini New coop, is behind the Main coop, and we left a space to the right side of it, to add another new coop for the new babies arriving Aug 7th...we have a few wks break before we start that one.

EMERGENCY FAST COOP FOR BANTAMS:

This one is on the side of the main coop, next to the door...and before the nest box door.

and on Aug 7th I have 32 hatchings arriving!!!!! lol....

GUESS I NEED TO FIND A NAME FOR MY COOPS
