Multiple males

6 weeks is very early, so it could be either he’s the only one, or that he’s the most vocal, or earliest to mature. My 9 week males and my 6 week olds haven’t Crowed yet. I know at least 3 of the oldest are males because they were sex links. My alpha roo sounds like he whispers when he crows, which is very rare for him. I did hear two of my 9 weeks crow early on, but it’s like they checked it off their bucket list “yep, I got that mastered” and never did it again.

Ok so maybe i spoke to soon so went out tofay and one my quails been pecked on head enough to draw blood so i brought them in cleaned wound put cream on then few hours later put them back in pen im unsure if male turned on them or they have a habit of sticking their head thru fencing into chicken coop so dont know if maybe a chicken had pecked them gona have to keep very close eye xx

Hopefully your quail is alright and heals. Maybe they’re not getting along or something else happened. (Obviously something happened -.-) :)

Sorey to bother u again i got a friend who breeds quails lot more space etc and willing to take a male or too of my hands i know one is for sure i know one poss is and i have 1 egg layer at moment they 7 weeks monday without cent sexing and feather sexing as many texas a and m what behaviour am i looking out for? X

Depending on the mutations you might be able to feather sex them but that might not be the case so you might have to vent sex them,if you want to know faster than looking at their behaviour. Obviously crowing = male and egg laying = female but if someone jumping on someone than that also give you a good idea of the genders. :)
