Mummified chick?

Cracked open what I thought was going to be a double-yolker for breakfast this morning, and found this inside! Yes, there was another normal egg yolk in the shell. Anybody know how or why this happened?

Looks like a large chunk of lash material.
Would be good to cut it in half lengthwise and take another pic.

Definitely lash material.
Must have broke loose with a yolk and got shelled along with it.
