mummy to be

Yay more bunnies! They certainly have been busy! Ok cool, no hurry about the pics. My goodness that list of snakes is terrorfying. I have nightmares about them a lot, urgh makes me shudder to think of it.
Wonder if I can find a recipe somewhere for it. Sounds yummy.

That's so awful about the lovely dog. Makes you so mad and upset. I hope he's ok. I'm sure he loved the time he spent with you and your family.
Yeh I've seen videos on YouTube of the ducks following you everywhere, seen them do it to a cat too so Ozzy better look out! I think he'd quite like it really!
Aw bucks a cool name, bet he was glad you found him. I once drove past a tiny kitten sat by the side of the road but by the time I turned around and got back there, it'd gone. I always wonder what happened to it when I go that way.
Enjoy your din dins, I gotta get some sleep, back to work tomorrow after being off with the flu, blurghh.

Ouuuuu forgot to say I candled the eggs and there are still veins in all of them and movement to some extent. It's getting hard to see anyway cuz they're getting big. I'm so relieved!

Awww that duckling is cute. New baby rabbit is interesting..not as bad as I thought though! Buck is gorgeous and that collie is beautiful too, so sad. What bird is that sitting on the wire? The last pic, is that a goat? Guinea pigs are funny critters, they don't really have necks!

I can't believe I forgot to label the pictures!!!
That bird's name is Abbey and she is a Mocking Bird that I foster raised. My mom found it on the side walk as a tiny baby and brought her home to me. In the pic she is around a week old. Now she is all grown up and sitting on three little eggs of her own! I will be a Grandma at age 18! That is a goat. One of the little babies I helped birth! And my guinea pig is hilarious! Her name is June. She is sweet as candy though!

Thank Goodness your eggs are good!! Such a relief! Enjoy your night and thanks for talking! I am sure we will again!

Doh stupid phone doesn't show me new posts! Don't think we have mocking birds either Pfft stupid country I live in. Right I'm going lol Byeee!

Supposedly we don't where we live, but I swear I saw one and think we do close by. I was outside one night and looked over into the neighbors yard and saw this bigish animal wattling (how I know it was not a coon!) At top speed through the yard! Looked awful pokey to me, but I was the only one that saw it sooo, you know how that goes! Good Night!

I've heard it about rabbits too, but to the best of my knowledge its mostly a myth. I bred rabbits from age 10 and now I'm 17 and I have contacts with some of the best breeders around here. Hedgehogs aren't even related to porcupines silly!

And just for your viewing enjoyment...

Latté, my little hedgie! FYI there are no wild hedgehogs in the U.S. so that's probably why you haven't seen them here. They can't hibernate, so they can't live here

This is latté balling up which is one of the things they are known for

This is latté and Bentlee, my shorkie mutt

Latté has taken up residence in my sweatshirt pocket since I took those pictures... And with his quills I have to either leave him there or get poked :) but he's so much fun it's worth it!

AWE!! I want a pet hedgehog! How adorable and he looks like so much fun! Is he hard to keep/take care of?

Oh and what kind of rabbits do you breed? I have raised rabbits from around age ten to and I am eighteen. Not great breeds though!

I have bred many different kids and that was supposed to say 6 years old lol. First time was an accident and for the first 6 years it was just mutt bunnies then I had a year with no animals except fish (needless to say I began talking to walls...) then at age 13 I got more mutt bunnies before finally buying some Californians and then Netherlands dwarves. I got a Netherlands with enteritis and wiped out nearly our entire herd. I then got a few more mixed rabbits before getting a holland lop pair and a Netherland trio. I also got another Californian. And there were a few random guys too... A silver Martin and some champagnes as well as lionheads. Now I just have a pair of Flemish left and I'm selling my girl tomorrow and she has developed a mean streak and hope to find a new girl come Sunday at the swap. My buck, Spartacus, is the sweetest little guy! Well big guy I guess... He weighs in close to 15 lbs I think. And we have one lionhead left for the daycare. He is a scaredy cat and jumps at everything, but is really sweet when you pick him up. Like a rag doll or something, he just lets you hold him.
Hedgies are pretty easy to care for. He lives in a storage tote with a big wheel and food and water. I bring him out to play sometimes, but he prefers his solitude. He was raised well at the breeders so even if I don't pick him up for long periods of time it only takes seconds for him to calm down.

Morningsng! Aww cute hedgy. It seems to be getting more common for people here to breed them as pets. Good job your dog doesn't think they're tasty like my old one! I know hedgies aren't related to porcies but I thought that could be your scarier version :p
Megan how your bunny babies doing today? Is anyone else hatching anything at the mo?
Urgh best get up and go to work, yay...talk later!
