ah yes... I'm actually looking into a winter hardy bamboo right now. If I had a fence tall enough I would just plant hops, which I like and grows like MAD. Problem is I don't want to wait three years for it to be any good. I want it last month at this point....

There is some kind of bamboo that grows all over the place here in southern Maine, so I should work for you. (At least that's what people call it--bamboo) Just be careful, it's wicked invasive.

Probably doing what I've been doing... preping for winter?
I've gathered quite a few seeds for next season, planted bulbs and garlic, too.

I still need to get my garlic and onions planted... my husband built a keyhole garden for me and now it's at the "fill it up with dirt" stage so I'm cleaning one of the coops and tossing everything in it.. plus what composted mulch I can remove from the other side of the garden without doing too much damage... but it's been raining cats and dogs here for the past several days.. so I'm on hold until things dry out enough that I don't break my neck in the mud...

I have collected seeds as well. If anyone wants to swap seeds let me know. I have a ton of Rose of Sharons and some of my giant sunflowers

I agree. I hope all is well with her. She usually checks in every couple weeks if she is busy

I've sent her email # 2 today, sent one about a week or so ago. Have PM'd couple times. Does *anyone* on here know her # and can call? After the loss of Bob Blosl this weekend... bit jittery.
