Mumsy's Romantic Garden Advice

I'm so sorry to cause so much worry. Everything fine here. Please except my sincerest apologies for not coming on sooner or answering pm's. I stepped away from all forums and social media places for a break. It just got too much for me to keep up with. I wasn't even checking email until a day or so ago. Also just read about Bob Bosl's passing on the HRIR thread. Shocking news. That's when I figured I'd better come on here and let everyone know I'm ok. It was just a self imposed black out from the Internets. It was an honest oversight thinking anyone would notice I was 'out of the room'.

It is processing time in my flock. Turkeys and cockerels are getting thinned out. At last count there are four turkeys left and six roosters left to join freezer camp. On the Silkie front, last count is thirty two chicks from two pens. They are free ranging every day and are like a moving fluffy white cloud in the garden. They are fantastic in type and quality.

The HRIR pullets started laying. They are seven months old now.

My potager garden has been trashed thou roughly by having the roosters and turkeys in there for two months. I got to harvest everything first but they are taking everything right down to the earth either by stomping or scratching.

All the pears and apples are gone now. Still waiting to plant my 150 tulip bulbs.

I've got seeds to send out in the next month or so. I haven't forgotten my promise.

Again. I'm so sorry to cause worry. It was not intentional. Mumsy is ok.

x2! kept telling myself you probably were just busy with something, but...it is a bit worrisome to have had you just drop out of site. So glad you are here!
I feel really bad for not posting something but it was just one of those things where I needed to be away from the computer. Seriously away. My life right now is super intense with the flock and all it's needs and my son and darling daughter-in-law are expecting a baby any day. Keeping up with all the various forums I'm on was just too much. I will get it all under control in a few more months and check in and contribute again. I love this forum and all the wonderful folks. Timing now is just a bit off for my total participation.

Mumsy (Jane?) please don't feel bad. You certainly can take time off when you need to. We just love you and notice when you're gone. And three weeks seemed like a very long time. If you need time off the interwebs again, just post "I'm alright" every couple of weeks and we won't freak out again. :D

Well Spring is hopefully around the corner. I am hopeful that Mumsy comes back on soon to chat about preparing for Spring.

I still have some seeds for Rose of Sharon plants if anyone is interested. Just PM me
