Can I see pics of these ‘Ameraucanas’?
This ‘breeder’ sounds like they’re making BS up about some EEs. EEs lay colored eggs but don’t conform to breed standards, which is what they’re describing. But it’s weird they’re trying to call them Ameraucanas still.

Upon re-reading these are clearly EEs. Someone is making stuff up if they’re trying to call it an Ameraucana. They aren’t pure if they’re don’t have consistent breed traits.

McMurray sells BBS Ameraucanas, but that's it. They also have these, but they are Easter Eggers and don't follow breed traits.

Buddy, look. Hatcheries and stores and breeder lie all the time. I own two female EEs, both purchased as Ameraucanas. One was literally from Murray McMurray!

Mine lay shades of blue/green, are have mixed patterns, and were less than 10 bucks each. They’re Easter Eggers. Doesn’t make them a worse birds…they have great temperaments and are great layers. I love them.
But they’re not pure. They don’t conform to breed standards and would be kicked out of a show.

Pure Ameraucanas have very strict standards. Pure color, perfect comb, blue/slate legs, and blue eggs.
And they are rare. They expensive. And they sure as heck tell you that they are pure Ameraucanas when they sell them!

Not a bunch of half truths and excuses.
‘We don’t breed for color…we’re working on it…they have many varieties…’
They do have many varieties. And when you buy a bird of that fancy variety that you can only find 3 pictures of on the internet because it’s so rare, you’ll know, because it took a chunk out of your wallet.
Your bird is a gorgeous EE. I don’t care what they sold her as. She’s not a purebred Ameraucana.

Agreed! I have an Easter Egger, (you're probably quite familiar with her. ). And I love her to pieces.

No. I’m tired of “experts” dissing a company (with no idea what they’re talking about) that works very hard to provide quality birds, and I’m tired of ppl having absolutely closed minds. I said I’d post the company’s feedback, I’ve done that, I’m done with this issue. My birds are beautiful, I’m happy. I enjoy my time here, I’d like to continue to do so without causing problems or ill feelings.

Whoa whoa whoa. Calm down. First: yes, they have good birds, but that doesn’t mean they’re purebred all the time. Those are the different issues.

Second: I’m sorry, but you’re the one being close minded here. The sky isn’t yellow just because you say it is.
You don’t have an Ameraucana. You have a gorgeous EE.

Third, half the people here know more about chickens then 90% of the people who work at that hatchery, I can assure you.

Exactly. And because of that, this bird is not pure.
