Murray McMurray Hatchery

Ohh, and also wanted to give some stats in case it helps others.

Wanted to mention that there was a beefy heat pack under the shavings in the box. Still warm to the touch when I opened the box. Here is my tracking to give you an idea of how long it took to get to WA from Iowa. Read from the bottom up.

I purchased from Meyer Hatchery four hours away from me in good shape and can’t beat the pricing. No issues at post office but Meyer recommends to call local post office day before to request notification and pick up at post office to avoid additional stress on the birds. The truck going out to you may expose them to temp extremes and should pick them up at post office. Have 48 hours after hatch and yolk consumed for chicks to survive on yolk to you as one day olds so have sav a chick electrolytes in water with full heated brooder set up at arrival. Brooder setup 24 hours prior to regulate temp. I did sav a chick electrolytes first five days then weekly as Hatchery recommended as birds need a perk up initially till eating and drinking normally and stress of delivery alleviated. Should receive birds in 24 hours as this is the requested time frame by the Hatchery to alleviate stress to bird and increase survival rates.
