I ordered 15 of their rainbow layer special got the free mystery chick & 1 extra. all are doing well now for the last 2 weeks. very feisty lot. still cant tell which breeds they are.

Glad to hear yours are all doing well, those assortments are always a lot of fun with the surprise element. Take some pictures of your chicks and post them on the What Breed OR Gender Is This Forum, bet we will be able to identify at least some of them for you.

I think my MM surprise chick is a Silver Hamburg....roo. He is about five weeks.

I love my hamburgs I have a pullet and a roo and they are just great. I originally ordered a pullet from MM for an alert bird for my free range flock, and received a male as my freebie! They are gorgeous little birds.

I have 6 chicks that were born at McMurray - they are a week old today and so far so good. They are bright and happy. I ordered all girls and I am hoping that is what I got, as I can not have roosters in my neighborhood. I have read through all of these posts so far to see how good McMurray does with their gender determining... but woundered if anyone else has any reviews on the topic?

I ordered 16 birds with 14 of them pullets. I lost two immediately. I am pretty sure that I have 5 roo /11 pullets, so the extras will be headed to freezer camp. Good luck

Sorry to hear that you lost some babies. I ordered our chicks from McMurray and they are now 1 month old and doing well. As far I can tell we received exactly what we asked for. I will definitely order from them again. Unfortunately human error does happen, it just stinks when it's you that it happens to.
Good luck with your remaining chicks I hope they all do well.

I have ordered from them twice now and have been very pleased both times.

First order:
Ordered 22 chicks.
Received 23 (included free mystery chick).
Lost one chick after arriving and was refunded.
All the others made it and thrived.

Second order:
Ordered 24 chicks.
Received 21 (included free mystery chick) (four of ten BLR Wyandotte chicks ordered were unavailable and they refunded me).
All chicks arrived active and healthy though one seems to have a minor foot problem.
We will see how they do. I got them yesterday morning and they're all doing really well so far. Very active little guys.

I will order from McMurray again. Though I was disappointed they didn't ship all my wyandottes from my second order, I understand sometimes that's just out of their control.
