I dont know what my 'rare' was. Im still trying to identify everything. I ordered 26 diffrent breeds... so umm.. alittle tricky! But I do know that my 8 bantams I ordered became 17 magically... Guess they must have had alot of extra bantams.
I do have some that Im really not sure what they are at all...so this MIGHT be the mystery chick... or not. I really dont know!
front chick and the one in the corner that only her head is showing:
Black with white under and VERY orange legs and beak AND the little black and white bantam with black feet/beak
But isnt playing "guess the breed/gender" part of the fun? lol

Yep, the one in the corner with only the head showing is definitely a Golden Laced Wyandotte! I don't know about the other one.
I just received my shipment Saturday night. I split an order with my friend. She got 7 Rhode Island Reds, and 3 Black Astralorp. I got 2 Ancona, 4 Silver Spangled Hamburgs, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte, 2 Dark Cornish, 1 Light Brahma, 1 Dark Brahma, 4 Aracauna. They sent 1 extra Black Astralorp, and 1 mystery chick, that I truly have no clue about. LOL. He is all creamy buff colored with black spots all over his back. I can't find anything like him in their catalog, or online.
1 of the Hamburgs was dead in the box on arrival, and the mystery chick was very weak and splay legged, but appears to be doing mostly fine and normal now.
Just got my McMurray shipment last week. The mystery chick looks exactly like your mystery chick. By searching online I figured she
must be a gold laced Wyandotte, so I am happy that others on here thought the same. We ordered all pullets of one breed, and
McMurray said if you ordered all pullets, they would try and supply a pullet mystery chick. I guess we will wait and see. Out of 27 chicks
all very healthy and none dead.
nope no feathery feet on any of my chicks at all. lol want more pictures? Its kinda fun because I have like... ohhh 26 different ones and more on the way.
well I NOW have feathery feet bantams thanks to an early morning trip to tractor supply they were a straight run assortment so who knows what Ive got...
for everyone who played the 'guess the breed from the chick pic' impromptu game... check your results... they aren't babies anymore! hahaha some of you were dead on YES I did end up with both a silver a GLW even though I thought early on that I had lost them.
So.. if your wondering what murry chickens turn out like... I posted LOTS of pics here
