Just checking to see if this is correct. I have only had my pair of Muscovies for 3 months. She has been sitting on 14 eggs for 31 days. It has been a long wait and the kids are getting anxious. I will post pics as soon as they hatch.

They're getting close to hatch.

34-36 days is normal w/spread of 33-38 days & I've seen them hatch all in 24 hrs. and then again take 48hrs or a bit more. Ohhh... but worth the wait.

Wishing you & momma Scovie a great hatch. Post pic's!!!!!

My scovies' eggs didn't start hatching till about day 43. I'm guessing because she laid them on the concrete floor in the garage so they developed more slowly. It's possible she also wasn't sitting as diligently in the beginning for the first couple days, but just giving you fair warning. Don't throw them out if they haven't hatched in normal time and she's still sitting on them

I had two broody scovies and they both killed their ducklings as they were hatching. I caught one of them eating the egg, duckling and all; and found a bunch of dead ducklings in the yard.

So, I would never get my hopes up with my scovies again.

Hikerchick, that is bad.. I have had other ducks take duckling from other hens, but not that. I have had other hen that don't have duckling turn on them, but not eat there babies..
Bantymama, hope you have a good hatch let us know what you hatch and you know that we need pictures!!!
