Muscovy are growing!!!!!!!(updated again w/ Pics)

I have three orphaned baby Muscovy ducks that need a home in Savannah. Anyone know someone in this area that can care for them?

Well, you def. have one barred baby, w/dark grey bill.

I can't see the color barr on it's tail but will assume w/momma being chocolate barred,white head.... that the little one is a chocolate barred. The other little yellow one looks like it has some chocolate coloring on it's head. The other three look like black pied variations. I love the momma's coloring pattern. She's retained a lot of her barring. Is Lucille's belly all white? If it is then she is a Chocolate barred pied white head.

Which shows me that barred Scovies that are pied w/white head DO retain much more barring as adults than Scovies w/just barring.

Hurray! I just candled my Muscovy eggs and they are fertile, finally!

Will my girl get off the eggs to eat and drink if I let her hatch out some of her own or do I need to make her get off? I am so thrilled!

Oh thanks Keeper. And yep... Lucille's belly is all white.

The funny thing is we are just seeing the barred pattern etc. When we got her as a week old we were told she was barred. Until recently we thought we were lied to because she was just chocolate and white. At her last molt we were surprised to see that, what do ya know, she IS barred. She's a little over a year now and gets prettier every day.

Did her barring increase/show up as her white head developed? I am asking because I have a theory about the white head gene and barring pattern.
