Muscovy babies!

These little buggers hatched with mama yesterday. Noticed today when she brought them outside the one on the left was having some foot issue so I grabbed it and 2 more to be it's buddies. I've never had a baby like the one on the left. It's kind of a dirty yellow but then black tail feathers! Just had to take it for myself. I usually just have white drakes but last year got one that's almost all black with a white head. Must be his handy work. Mama is pied. Although it might not be hers since everyone shares nests lol! If you have something similar I'd love to see pics

He's a pretty boy I have 2 very similar, cute ducklings too, I have 2 just hatched but they are bright yellow with blk on their tails just like my lil duck that hatched last year and she is barred.

Congrats. That should turn into barred, as a juvenile, and then more solid as an adult. All of mine are barred but the boys get darker with age while my girls remained more barred.

How many hatched? I had 15 hatch about 1.5 weeks or so ago. Here's the most recent hatch under momma. You can see the one butt and they ALL look the same. I am SO wanting a pied so that I get a little more variety in coloring. At least I'll start getting some chocolates now as my young black barred drake is split to chocolate.

She hatched 10. Another hatched 14 that same day and another hatched 14 last week. I have 5 more sitting so more to come! Love this time of year!

No I hadn't. Thank you it was very helpful! We also got two Pekins yesterday. I will upload pics as soon as I can figure out how!
