Muscovy ducklings gender help? Pictures included.-NEW pictures 8/17/11

what a cute pair! there pretty young still.. ours starting showing differences that were pretty distinct by 6-7wks i know some here can tell sooner.. The drakes start getting much bigger not only in foot size but overall.. as well may sound a touch silly but the hens do a have a rather girly/refined look to them... especially in the head/neck...

Ours hens don't even have names you can't tell them apart lol

They were hatched on 6/11/2011. They are pretty much the same size. One does have bigger feet, not much but a little. Ah time will tell. We can hold off on naming for a bit:)

They are going on 10 weeks now and I still have no clue. They look completely different, one is a bit larger than the other, they are completely different colors, the smaller one has larger feet, the bigger one has a larger beak, the smaller one has a longer tail, the bigger one has a flatter body and neather of them have or seem to be getting a mask? Is there anything else I should look for or any I completely loosing it? lol.

i reckon duck on the left drake on the right. it is hard to tell at that size though. i go a little bit on the shape of the head as well. you cant sex them on the sounds they make.

Mine looks no where near that feathered out. They are much larger than they were when I got them. I am up loading some new photos I just took. Hopefully something will help. They would not stay put. Squirmy little buggers they are. I think I noticed a little pinkish color on one of their beaks. I am not sure though.

Can you also provide color as well as sex advice?

I'm getting the vibe of the one with the black feet is a girl and the one with the orange feet is a boy but I could be completely wrong. Just a guess, they seem a little too young to sex but from studying the pics that's what I think. Maybe in a week or two it will be more apparent. Girls have feminine characteristics about them, like smaller heads, and their feet aren't as stocky, and their tail isn't as long (the tail is also slender, not fat). Males have bigger chests.

ETA: Actually, looking at the pics again, it could be the opposite. Black foot has a much longer tail I noticed.

That is what I was thinking too. But the one with the dark feet, has more tail feathering and wing feather development, The one with the orange feet has much less, however when looking closely, tonight I noticed a bit of redishness around the top portion of the beak on the orange footed one... The orange footed one also has thicker legs and wider feet.
