I got some week old ducklings from a woman who told me they were muscovies. She said one parent was all black and one was all brown.
The ducklings all look the same, all black with a large white bib going down the front of them.
They are now 5 weeks old and starting to feather. However, the more I look at them, the more I seem the think they aren't muscovies. I seem to think they are black swedish or something. They don't have a large bean like my other muscovies, and they don't have the large oil gland at the base of their tails like my other muscovies. They also don't have the distinct muscovy tail.
Would anyone be willing to post pics of their black muscovy babies so I can compare? I would post pics, but I don't have a working camera at this point. My brother is fixing it for me, but I'll try to post pics when I can.
Thanks!
