When I got home, my muscovy's were in a big group blabbering. When I went to get their feed I heard some ruckus and it was them fighting. I mean it was vicious. I tried to pull them apart and got a few gashes and cuts. The wing beats are what hurt the most! Why are they fighting? Is it a nesting / territorial thing?

Who knows why they were fighting. Mine do it every now and then. I try to break them up and sometimes I can and sometimes I can't. I chalk it up to them fighting over the females. I don't think that's what the fight is about but I feel better when I come up with my own stories.

Yes, my boys will fight over the girls and I finally got to the point of letting them "figure it out" themselves. The wing hits leave painful, deep bruises! and we all know how bad the scratches can be. Their feathers are so strong on top and full underneath that they usually don't get hurt much at all anyway.
