Muscovy hen's wing is hanging down...Help?

The wing is nice and tight which probably means nothing is broken, but it looks like it's hanging a bit from the shoulder, those muscles are easy to strain cause it's the hinge for the whole wing. She might just need to rest it; I'd keep an eye on the wing tip - if you notice that starting to droop...or get dirty...you might need to wrap it for a bit

From checking her wing, it didn't seem broken, either. A sprain was what I was thinking, but I'm not sure. For right now I'm going to be keeping her with the flock, but I'll keep your advice in mind. I was thinking of wrapping, but so far it doesn't seem bad, so I'm going to leave it be unless it gets worse.

I wish I could figure it out, too. But for now, she's eating, drinking, bathing, and keeping up with the others and being normal. So I'm not going to worry unless things don't get better, or worse.

A day at the duck spa sounds nice. ;)

I hope you don’t mind some kidding around. I think if she was in pain or something serious you’d def know she’d be off by herself ,probably off her feed too so hoping if’s sprain she’ll just do for her self what’s necessary to get over it .

Oh, I don't mind.

I think so, too. There's nothing amiss, just the wing hanging down. I'm hoping it'll just take some time to heal. I had a duckling who sprained her ankle and I just let her be, and in time she healed without a limp. Hopefully this'll heal, too.

I will!

Also, to add, when I went out to check her again this morning she was holding her good wing up like normal. When talking with my mom, she said that when the hen walked up with the others for food, she was holding it normal, too. So I'm thinking it was just heat, or she was preening and bathing. Now its just the injured wing I have to keep an eye on.
