okay i don't know why that would upset me, but like in my experience every time my females layed a round egg like close to a golf ball shape and size its been infertile, so my experience is obviously not like yours so...... I'm not saying every round egg is infertile but by the most part they are, and every regular size egg isn't fertile right, there are some infertile regular size eggs. But the majority of regular sized eggs are fertile as long as you have a male with the female that layer them.
Do some of your little eggs have missing yolks

I was having golf ball size eggs but they we're infertile, some had yolks but didn't have a bulls eye or blood spot and some didn't have an air sac and like this happened in like June or July can't really remember, but those were just laid right before she laid a clutch of twelve in ine sitting,

She laid twelve eggs in one day? Do they do that?

No, they lay one egg a day until they get a clutch size that they like, then they sit. I think that's what Buck meant. Eggs take roughly 24-25 hours to form and sometimes if it's getting really late in the day the bird will hold that egg over till the morning, so you rarely might get two eggs a day, but twelve would be impossible :) The world record for most eggs ever laid in a day is seven and that's held by a chicken hen.

That's what I thought! My duck is laying one a day and it is early in the morning, like before 6am I think.

oh sorry i didn't mean twelve i was thinking of the clutch size * embarrassed face* , no but she did lay i want to say four in one day so thats when i knew she was going to set soon. an I'm saying that it was more than one because she stopped laying for like two or three days so i hunk she was holding those in and waiting to lay them.
