I know but acording to most genetic chats if I cross a black drake to a chocolate duck I'll get all black ducklings but the drakes should carry the chocolate gene then if I cross back to a chocolate duck then I should get some chocolates (I too study genetics)


If your drake is split to chocolate then you can breed him and get chocolate female offspring. Any chocolates that hatch with a non chocolate female will be chocolate. I am crossing my chocolate ripple drake with my black duck. I will get all chocolate females and black drakes split to chocolate. All will be split to ripple as well.

I don't think he has any chocolate in him I got him from my uncle and don't recall ever seeing any chocolates there that's why I'll have to make a chocolate split but who knows maybe he'll surprise me and throw some awesome colors
