well by the looks of it bc i have male who looks just like her his mom was blue fawn, chocolate majority of blue fawn and dad was either one of my black males or one of my blue, either way it would turn up the same since blue is another form of black, so she would be blue with distant chocolate in her somewhereanyone know what colour my blue/grey female is? She has brown a lace pattern as well.
Hi. They are able to stay locked up with her for 6 weeks and she is kept in a seperate coup. I just made a bit of a muscovy nest and put the chick eggs in it, coaxed her in the door with some food and away she went. Out of 4 fertile eggs 3 hatched and 2 of those survived. Number 3 didn't make it through the night unfortunately. Mother duck is very protective and gentle, so I don't think she could have squashed the third one. These chicks are tiny and 4 days old now - 1silkie and 1 bantam x. Have set up their food and water seperately so chicks can only eat the chick starter and ma duck doesn't leave water all over the floor or eat their food. Will post some pics if you like.
I would like to see some pics. I guess I am not the only curious one.
