Muscovy keepers share your pics!

its actually really good for the mom to eat the baby feed, it supplies just as much nutrients to her as the babies plus she does need some since she's been on a nest for 24 days hatching those chicks :)

Thanks for the tip! She won't want to be eating too much though, coz it's a little expensive for me to fill her bill.

So was a quick do. Ducks water elevated on bricks with water catcher underneath and ducks food elevated in background. Chicks feed under milk crate with weight on top to stop mum from shoving it over. I see mum having a nibble sometimes, so I could readjust a bit, but I don't mind.
The egg crate thing will work good for when you let them out though this way babies feed stays dry. I used it before to keep my water fowl from mucking up the chick feed.

thank you. they are so cute!

Two of the girls have started laying but inside their main coop although there's a place outside for that. I'll like to find out if I should allow them to sit on their eggs inside the main coop or I should move the eggs out to the place made for that purpose. Any advice please.

And just be mindful if you leave them in the coup, in my experience they don't like to be close to one another. Also in my experience they would switch nests and get confused and sometimes fight one another. When I have kept one brooding duck alone in the coup, things have turned out much better.
Also agree with what Alaskan said.

Well. Now im mum to 8 muscovy eggs...my beautiful blue girl is missing today. Im absolutely gutted. I dont know how long she was off them. There were 10 but 2 were scrambled.
