Whooaaaa...I thought because the Muscovy is a totally different breed of duck that if it crosses with another duck, the off sprng will be sterile right, so the ones that you have that are 1/2 breed can not produce..is that right??

No idea. No one has even said anything about whether they think there's a possibility it might be half skovie

Well i was wrong about going broody as two of mine are now and also the new little ones that i got did turn out to be moscovies, look at the photos i put up just today. i have since bought another five that are turning out to be the same but with other colours ( they look like they have some darker feathers developing, i will be able to tell in the next few days) and i also have two baby mallards from the incubator and two mallards sitting on the same nest with 16 eggs under them, although 5 of them are chicken eggs that i placed.
I am going to france in two days and cant wait to see what types i can see in the markets there, if there are some good ones i will go back again another time by car and buy some, this time though i am flying and it will cost too much to bring them back by flight. ( i am in Spain )

heres a pic of a new one

Had to before we named them. Once they are named they never leave our yard. LOL We have 75 birds total right now and just do not have room for more. Plus it helps that it is part of my DS's 4-H project and we can add it to the Income part (which doesn't compare to the Expense part) LOL

I got a few updated pics of my ducklings. Can anyone tell me for sure if they will be barred? It looks it to me! Also, they are growing the same rate...neither is much bigger/smaller than the other....did I get 2 females?I tried vent sexing and my VERY uneducated guess was 2 females.
One has a darker barred look...the other is lighter.
