Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I got my first duckling! It's not the one I've been watching but I'm happy I finally have a duckling.
400

The one has been pipped for 41 hours I think. It looks like it is trying to turn so it can pip the correct end of the egg.

Honestly how I do it is, our eggs are extra tough. So if no external pip in 24 hours of internal then I will pip it. Then I will wait for 48 hours to see if it hatches, if it doesn't then I will step in again. I breed muscovies.

So what would I get if I bred a chocolate drake to a lilac hen??
you'll get all lavender offsping. Lilac is 2 copies of blue with chocolate. The hen could only pass blue and chocolate and the drake can only pass black and chocolate. Blackxsilverķwhich is the base color of the lilac) can only.make.blue. add chocolate to the mix and you can only make lavender

If I remember correctly lilac is the same as blue fawn on the generator. If that's the case then they will produce lilac/blue fawns and chocolates as I breed them.

blue fawn (unless it's completely different in muscovy) has nothing to do with chocolate. A lilac in every other breed of duck is a silver based bird showing chocolate. Unfortunately muscovy aren't my specialty, but chocolate genetics are.
