What does it take to make a blue fawn?Gorgeous blue fawn.
Bottom pic with duckling facing left looks like a girl to me. But maybe still too early. I love the first pic with the Pekins acting guard over the Scovy .
Thanks, I hope so because I am in love with that one and have not even seen her in person hehe!Bottom pic with duckling facing left looks like a girl to me. But maybe still too early. I love the first pic with the Pekins acting guard over the Scovy .

We are getting them from the same breeder we got or other muscovies from. Her little farm is fantastic. So clean and everybody is healthy and well cared for.
I'd like to know also, I got this one and a blue and a chocolate from a farm but this man was just the middle man so no telling where they came from. What does it take to make a blue fawn?
Ok, if you were in my spot what would you do?
After reading all the tips and tricks I do believe it is correct that both of my muscovies are boys.
Those two and my two rouens are extremely tame ducks. I have a pekin and four ancona's who are not nearly as tame.
So in order to keep both muscovies I would need to give up four other ducks to make room for female scovies. But, do i really want to give up my ancona's and switch my focus to the scovies? I can't imagine parting with the muscovies. I really adore them, same with the rouens. However I did really want to focus on Ancona's. The pekin is not attached to us at all and though I like him/her I could part with that one easier than the others.
Help! What would you do?
We knew going in that we would probably have to do some re-arranging once we could sex them. But didn't realize the choice would be so darn hard lol
We narrowed it down and basically switched our focus from Ancona to Muscovy. I'm just in love with the personalities on mine. We will keep two ancona girls just because (one is 100% imprinted on me and we want to keep our prettiest girl too) and the rest will go to a friend so if in the future we do decide to build a second coop we can get some from him that would still be from ours. The pekin will either go to him as well or another friend. And we will bring in three new female Muscovies next week! The rouens stay because they are so very sweet. If it was me I would get rid of the ancona's and focus on Muscovy, I think muscovey are a better duck in terms of uses and ease of management (if your not looking for eggs) but that's just my opinion, would it be possible to maybe keep a breeding pair of Ancona's and get rid of two and the Pekin so you would only be one duck over your limit or maybe it would be best to just get rid of one scovie drake and buy a female? It's hard to choose but sometimes it's necessary!
