Muscovy keepers share your pics!

I am in Washington and I am not used to this. This is the coldest winter I have ever lived through.

I have a few different pens but I keep my chickens right outside my bedroom window as this way I can hear if any nocturnal predators are out there messing around.

This is my rooster, Skipper. He jumps up on my nest house door to let us know they would really like some corn. My other rooster, Scout hasn't figured out how to get up there to beg yet. Lol

The Muscovy's don't seem bothered much by it but I am supplying 100% of their food for the time being and they do like to eat.

Beautiful birds!!

Your all lucky!! In Minnesota we dont get spring!! It goes from 0 dgrees one day and 70 degrees the next!!

Mine are awesome weed eaters as well as amazing bug catchers! And I'm guilty of giving then chopped fruit and veggie scraps about once or twice a week....same with my chickens...
Wow I must be terrible! I give my Pekins peas (about 1 cup for 2 birds) each day as a treat. They seem to LOVE it! It promotes them coming back to their pen after foraging at our pond all day.

Brrrrr That looks cold. It is 60 degrees here today and cloudy. Yesterday it was 70 and sunshiny. I'll keep our Texas winters, thanks!

El Nino has really caused havoc in the country this year. I am ready for spring too only 2 months away!!

Buck I ferment the seeds I feed. My chickens hang out under the wild bird feeders everyday scarfing up the Sun flower seeds the birds drop. They are feathered pigs.
Mine are also bird feeder hogs. I was wondering when y'all were talking about seeds being bad for ducks. Every time they visit their pool they MUST checkout the bird feeder. There are always good things on the ground. LOL Ducks sure to LOVE to eat!

I am the warm weather type. I wish I could move someplace more sunny. I am just not sure where a good place would be. I am lucky as my husband works abroad. So I can live wherever. But I am also unwilling to get rid of my birds. So I would rather not move cross country.

And I think, I would die in Minnesota!!!! BBbbbbrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

And def, Washington is usually not this bad.

Central Texas is wonderful. It does get WARM in the summer (can be 105!) But our winters are mostly balmy. Yesterday was 60 today was 55. Come join us! So far this year we have only had 2 nights of freezing. I'll take that to the snow any day!
