Muscovy keepers share your pics!

These are my puppies, Angus and Misty. They get along great with my Muscovys as they are such an outgoing breed of duck. I got two so they wouldn't be all alone. If you already had a dog, you could just get one.

Oh, I have 2 dogs! My husband would kill me if I asked for another one! LOL I thinks its just us, dogs and ducks!

Yeah, I am good with just two....  Now I always need more ducks though!

I have a Muscovy Drake named Sprocket you can have. He is only 5 months old and a total sweetheart!

Sorry for late reply... We'll be moving back home soon and there will be females from his family at home so hopefully he'll know what to do.. My daughter is worried he'll get bullied since he'll be a complete "outsider", and he does "talk" a lot with us I think more than a normal Muscovy since we're the only ones he talks to.. We'll just have to see

Oh he'll know what to do it may take him a while to convince the ladies though. lol. you'll have to do slow intros.

We had our first week of winter. Snow on Saturday, on Sunday afternoon everything melted. Frost every morning. Because of the weather urban foxes had less food and visit us every night. I went out to buy bread down the road and when I was passing by my garden could see from the street a fox holding my black and white muscovy female!!!!!! Thank God I came at that time. Everyone is alive and unharmed except for this duck's wing...
I honestly hate foxes.
Is my only hope getting a dog?!?!?! I've never seen a fox at day time in my garden. That was 15 minutes before sunset. Last night it was digging around my rabbit cages. I set the traps. We are waiting.

Yikes! Glad you were able to save the duck!! Yes, dogs would certainly help. We have three great pyreneese/great pyre crosses to guard our chickens. They have made a huge difference, we used to lose several dozen birds a year, now we hardly lose any. I hope you can catch that pesky fox before you lose anything else.
