When we use to put our duck in bed with us I would layer old towels for him to lay on. he didn't sleep with us though he just came up for some cuddling.

How does Scovy Momma keep her duck from craping on her bed?

Great! Glad you are starting to get eggs again.
I have 6 of my 10 Muscovy laying now. One usually gets the others going, I think. But soon enough they will go broody and then I won't have any eggs again!

And even with one wing trimmed, I have several girls that have been getting out of their pens. Dratted smart birds. They must be climbing up on each other!

I'm thinking 4 out of 8 of mine are now laying. WKA, I think they can climb really well too.

I got 2 duck eggs today! I cant wait until they really get going and are ready to brood.. miss those little fluffy babies!

Mine aren't laying yet but I think she made a nest under the ramp to get in to the chicken coop. I hope so, I have also been seeing them doing a waving neck dance thing at each other. Not sure what that is but never seen them doing the neck thing until a day ago, I only got these muscovy a couple months ago.

Yeah believe me,I wouldn't sleep without a way to keep her from crapping on me or the bed!
When she's not in her duck house,she wears a diaper I made for her. She pretty much is free to wander around the house as long as she has it on. She can wear it over night & not have any problems (so far!

) It's black,so it's hard to see in the pictures.
She gets a bath before she's allowed to sleep up on the bed. The dogs don't mind sharing my bed with her anymore. Sometimes she gets under the covers,I don't know what the fascination is. I got out of the shower today & she's quietly "whoot! whoot!"-ing under the blanket. I guess she was in a silly mood

I love the blue color & the matching blue kicks! Do all blue muscovy have dark feet or is it just random like other colors?

My dark mostly blk muscovy has blk feet but all the rest don't so I'd say random.
