Muscovy keepers share your pics!

You won't need an incubator. Nope. LOL
Im hoping someone will go broody, especially now that all three are laying

God only knows I have enough broody breeds lol. My Scovies, my Silkies, my mix hens...

Black drake with the duclair pied female would produce mostly black pied since I would call the duck on the left blue pied. (1 copy of the blue gene).
My B&W pied just hatched out her babies TODAY and they are ALL pied (B&W and chocolate & white) except for 1 black duckling.

I don't work with chocolate ripple but I get lots of chocolates out of my chocolate mama duck when I use a blue drake.
A few weeks ago my chocolate hatched out ALL chocolate ducklings except 1 black duckling using a blue drake.

will muscovies sometimes fly away from their home? And do they like to perch up high in trees or on the roof?
I don't think they intentionally fly away from home, but they do fly and get lost. I clip my Muscovies one wing. and yes they will roost in a tree on on a roof if given the chance, but just like all domestic animals they should have secure shelter for the night to protect them from predators.

yes, i was just wondering how high or far away from home they would perch. I love them but they are not the duck for me- because of the flying thing.

Well there is a young Muscovy down the road from me that just appeared there this week, she can fly real good because I tried to walk up to her, I have a feeling she flew away from home and most likely won't go back, I would love to bring her here but she won't let me get close. I think thats how alot of them end up at lakes and ponds. There is a mt. river below us and she flies down to it, but I see her up by the busy road too which makes me very nervous for her.

They will fly far enough away to get lost... at least my hen Jadzia did

. My adult ducks were molting and I took too long to clip their feathers.
