The Fuzzball, now neither fuzzy nor a ball but well developed. I still wonder whether duck or drake. At the moment I tend to say duck.




Mother duck. She has no special interest in her offspring anymore.



Her wings are almost fully developed and she is busy strengthening her muscles.

Frank they are beautiful and Fuzzball looks just like my Peggy Sue, so pretty, look like full Scovies too.

Kitty is is lub with a duck lady.



The scovies LOVE these stackable storage bins with removable lids for nesting.
2 or 3 girls are sharing this nest - oh, and kitty takes a turn on the eggs.
Have to wonder if she thinks she's cooking lunch......




This girl took over the dog's lean-to for nesting. They aren't thrilled at being blocked out by a chair.
No input yet on what color folks think she is. Odd ball/different.

@ Miss Lydia: They sometimes stand very upright just like runners when excited, but only in the shed when there is no space to get away. Do you have seen your scovies doing this?

9 more days!!! YAY! Uhm, well chicken and duck are sharing egg responsibility! I would have never thought I would see wnything like it! One gets up to eat the other sits, one comes back, the other gose to eat. Its uncanny, but most of the time they huddle like this.
Hope I hav some hatch.....

Ok folks lets play sex that scovie!

First off these are drakes, for sure. there huge plus they look and scream drake imo. All babes are 3+wks in these shots, they'll be 4wk this wed/thurs. Yellow baby is in my Avatar, see those huge feet!



Next up one in front with eye stripe. duck(girl) it's the smallest, has the most girly head. Think her name will be Lucy, no idea why, just hit me the other day, she will stay lol



Now the one in behind is the problem! i am leaning drake but unsure, my family says duck..dunno... It's feet are smallish but it's body seems to be catching up with the boys... argh there always has to be one that leaves you guessing!
