I love it!9 more days!!! YAY! Uhm, well chicken and duck are sharing egg responsibility! I would have never thought I would see wnything like it! One gets up to eat the other sits, one comes back, the other gose to eat. Its uncanny, but most of the time they huddle like this.

Yes my girls will do that. they sure look 100% Scovie Frank , I'd be surprised if they aren't.
I have some girls with some pretty thick legs but I'm leaning drake on yours.
Chicken, ducks and cats are ALL sharing and taking nest turns here.
To top it off I have a RIR roo that has been having his way with duck ladies!

They can but there stumpy lol I still think 3 boys, 1 girl. I had to babysit them again as mama couldn't care any less... so i watched closely.
Aw, that is cute! my guys are pretty much on their own, mama doesn't care and the others aren't interested in playing mama, so now me mama..
We took our 3 week old ducklings into the newly reseeded front pen. The minute the little ones started chirping Collard started trying to figure out how to get to them. She followed them all over the yard talking to them.
