My drakes do raise their feathers on top of their heads too, I call it excitement does make them look like Elvis doesn't it? lol As long as he doesn't do that then go to nipping I'd say he's just happy to see you. My drake does it more when he see's my dh than to me. Something about male bonding I thinkHe'd just had a heap of lettuce and we had sun showers here off and on all day so they found heaps of worms and yummy stuff. They really are such piggys aren't they lol.
He does this every time I come out the front which is many times daily. I have a video of him I really want too upload.
I want to know if he's being nice or not with this elvis thing he does with the feathers on top of his head and he makes this guttural low throaty sound at me and sometimes at other people.
