Why is my drake starting to get so aggressive?

Fair enough, TherryChicken. But that still does not explain why the other female hates him. This pen is not laying, btw.

In the other pen I have two who adore each other and are laying. I am gathering their eggs for incubation, so once I get enough eggs from that pen I can put the sister in there. It still does not make my other brown female at all happy. Could it be that she's just not fertile right now, or will she hold off laying just because she wants another mate? Ideas?

Try giving them some ideas. My hens didnt get along for a good while and didnt like the drake untill the drake finally took charge. Then after a while things eased out

TherryChicken is he aggressive when they get close to feeders, or swimming holes. Or is it just where ever they happen to be around him?

bumpershoot, how long have they been together? The angry female and the male.

Whenever im around him. He doesnt do it to anyone else. Im wondering if its because the ducklings should hatch any day. He really hates when I mess with the eggs

They have been together about a week, not long really. I will give them time if that's what will help. The other pair was just so instantly happy with each other.

Bumpershoot. It took about a month or 2 for my group to settle together and there is still bickering. You have to give it more then 1 week

Bumpershoot yeah I'd give it at least a couple of weeks to a month, she will most likely come around and like him..she just needs to get to know him better.

And TherryChicken he is probably just being an over protective daddy...but I'd watch him close when the babies hatch. If he acts mean in anyway to them you will need to get him and keep him away from them.

Only thing I can do is coop him and daisy up, but they make a huge mess!! Not sure where else I could put them other then the coup.
