Muscovy keepers share your pics!

Ok need some advice. If there is a drake and hen related by 2 generations. What is the outcome of the ducklings? Is it safe to have them as breeding partners for long life? Or will th ere be complications with th e babjies?

I inbred mine by a generation but when those babies had babies with each other most died at birth or had leg defects one had angel wing , and one is retarted the ones with the angel wing and foot problems died :(

Got my first Muscovy egg today!! It was an olive color, is that normal for a scovie? For some reason I thought they laid white eggs...

Scovies do lay white eggs with a thick waxy coating on them. However when my girls have not laid for a time their first one or two eggs are more of a grey color, then the rest are white.

Yeah then it's not a muscovy egg because muscovies do lay white eggs , sorry

Hmm, pretty sure they're muscovies. And while looking through the photos in this thread I see lots of green eggs...

All my Muscovy nests have off-white eggs. If you only have Muscovies, then it gotta be, but if you have other ducks, well, it's probably not a Muscovy egg.
